Barbaresco DOCG Tre Stelle

The soils are of marine origin from the Tertiary era, characterized by outcropping bluish marls, lean, calcareous, compact lands. The stratification is dense and complex, rich in mineral salts and natural springs.

The Barbaresco Tre Stelle is the result of the best exposure of this geographical mention. 100% Nebbiolo grapes. Great character, undoubted finesse and femininity together for a long-lived wine of surprising pleasantness even when young thanks to the dense, snappy and silky tannic texture.

Sensory notes

Garnet red in color, elegant notes of rose and violet, red berries, a vein of fresh minerality, snappy and silky tannins. Long, persistent finish. Nebbiolo in all its beauty.

Pairings

It goes well with game and blue cheeses, but when young it can be a perfect companion on any table.

The wine, like the vineyard, must be respected, even in time.

The Barbaresco Tre Stelle comes from four small parcels of a single cru (Tre Stelle).
The harvest is always done by hand, with great attention.

The pressing takes place mechanically, allowing a gentle press, which expels the whole stalks and does not crush the seeds.

The alcoholic and malolactic fermentations take place in steel tanks. The maceration with the skins varies according to the vintage, generally around 30-35 days with a submerged cap.
In this first phase the wine develops fundamental elements: perfume, color, tannins

Subsequently, the wine is moved into large Slavonian (Garbellotto) and Swiss (Suppiger) oak barrels – not toasted – where it ages for about 20/22 months.
Bottling follows, always in the waning moon phase.
No filtrations or clarifications are carried out, in order to maintain the structure of the wine perfectly intact.

One last step – to rest in the bottle before being labeled and released to the market. The wine, like the vineyard, must be respected, even in time

The soils are of marine origin from the Tertiary era, characterized by bluish marl (at a depth ranging from 1 to 3 meters), calcareous, compact structure. The stratification is dense and varied, rich in mineral salts and natural springs.

In 2018 we had the fortunate opportunity to add this magnificent cru to our production. A small vineyard, planted in 1944, to be cared for and cultivated with the same passion. As the production is very limited, it is offered first to our historical customers. The first vintage will be released starting from 2024.
